Looking for an amazing snack or option to bring to a pot luck! You've found!! These crispy & crunchy mozzarella sticks have an amazing flavour and are perfectly served with Epicure marinara sauce!
Ingredients Mozzarella Sticks 8 mozzarella cheese strings, cut in half 2 packages Epicure Crispy & Crunchy Coating Mix 1/2 cup flour (use a GF flour if you're one of our gluten-free friends - the coating is GF!) 2 eggs 2 tablespoons water Marinara Sauce* 3 tablespoons Epicure Marinara Sauce Mix 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes Fresh basil, if desired Cookware Epicure Sheet Pan Epicure Sheet Pan Liner Epicure Cooling Racks *Note - this will make A LOT of sauce. You can freeze it and keep it for a pasta night! Preparation Mozzarella Sticks 1. Add 1/2 cup flour to a bowl. 2. In a separate bowl, crack 2 eggs and add 2 tablespoons water (let my little guy do that part).
3. In a third bowl, add 2 packages crispy & crunchy coating.
4. Dip cheese strings one at a time in egg mixture, then flour mixture, bag in egg mixture and cover in crispy & crunchy coating. Repeat for all cheese strings. 5. Place on Epicure Sheet Pan with Sheet Pan Liner with Cooling Racks on top.
6. Place in freezer for 30 minutes. 7. Place in oven at 425 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Marinara Sauce 1. Add all ingredients to large pot and simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Let cool slightly and add to small bowl for dipping. Add fresh basil, if desired.
