This is an amazing breaky for special occasions or lazy weekends!! Super simple to make and absolutely delicious
1 package Epicure Caramel Sauce Mix
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 unsalted butter
3 apples, peeled, cored and diced
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon Epicure Apple Pie Spice
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon Epicure Cinnamon (ground)
To make the caramel sauce: add the caramel sauce mix package, whipping cream & butter to a boil and cook on medium high heat whisking constantly for 11-12 minutes (the package says 3-4, but cook it longer to get it nice and thick). Chill for one hour or overnight.
Apple Mix: Add coconut oil to sauce pan and add apples Apple Pie Spice. I keep add a little bit of water every 2 minutes to keep them soft. Cook time is approximately ten minutes until they are tender - add a scoop of Caramel sauce and heat until it’s ooey gooey in your apples!
French toast: whisk together eggs, milk and cinnamon. Use your favourite bread and dip in mix, cook for about 2 minutes on each side in medium heat pan or until golden brown.
To finish: add apples & some whipped cream and a bit more caramel sauce, too!!
